Leaders in Galilee continue to press for legal title to their property

Thousands of people were resettled by the government on land that was made available after the war. Many never had clear title to this property.  For the most part any efforts to ask for help have been met with delays and excuses by the government.   COFOA leaders are now at the forefront to advance national legislation required to make sure that 100 families in Galilee gain legal title to their properties. For the past year, leaders have organized more residents to press the mayor, the national land agency, and national assembly representatives from the La Paz Department to formulate and advance the legislation required to untangle this mess. Victory would mean that residents of Galilee would be rightful owners of property valued at $1 million.
