Organizing Serves Congregations: Kigali Parish Builds New Sunday School!
The PICO Model of organizing is being utilized by new leadership elected by Kigali Lutheran Parish to build a new Sunday school. Realizing that the future requires investing in the education of young people, parishioners are contributing both labor and funds. This community is most grateful to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in San Francisco for their contribution to the building and their investment in PICO-Rwanda. The PICO Executive Director, Pr. John, is also the Deputy Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Rwanda. He firmly believes both church and society need grassroots leaders who build and hold their institutions accountable to meet needs of the community.
