Pr. John Elected Assistant to the Bishop for the Lutheran Church of Rwanda

Recognizing Pr. John’s role in the formation and growth of the Lutheran Church in Rwanda, church leaders overwhelmingly elected him to the position of Assistant to the Bishop. “People recognize that organizing is the key to developing and sustaining the church. I could not refuse this call when people are so clear about what they need,” says Pr. John. He will continue in his role as Executive Director of PICO Rwanda. Training for Lutheran clergy and lay leaders will remain open to people of all faiths as they address the needs of their local communities across Rwanda. Congratulations, Pr. John!
