Leaders from El Llano will see roads fixed after 15 years
COFOA leaders negotiated with the Mayor of Santiago Nonualco to spend $100,000 to begin construction of roads to the community of El Llano in October. This effort has been underway for 15 years. Father Justin, pastor at St. Teresa of Avila, urged the 50 community members present to “work together without regard for religion, since well-being is for the whole community.” He also said, “we must not despair but work to achieve our goals ….some start it and others finish it, so the work of COFOA today begins with some leaders and is completed by others.” Leaders pledged to meet with national ministry officials to seek more funds to complete construction.
