At the invitation of Anglican Bishop Mbelwa Godfrey and Lutheran clergy, Rev. John Rutsindintwarane, who leads Faith in Action International’s organizing in Africa, is supporting new multi-faith grassroots organizing efforts in Muleba and Ngara, Tanzania. Muleba is close to Lake Victoria and at the far west of Tanzania. Critical issues include wells going dry as a result of climate change, underinvestment in schools, health clinics and other community infrastructure, and the need for a university to serve the region. Ngara is a rich agricultural region threatened by mining and lack of support for local farming. For more information about our emerging work in Tanzania contact Rev.
