Peru and Colombia: Faith in Action responds to invitations from Bishops, clergy, and faith leaders
COFOA staff joined Faith in Action International Coordinator, Gordon Whitman, for meetings with clergy and community leaders in Lima, Peru, and Bogotá, Colombia. Twelve leaders from Guadalajara and the United States joined peers from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras for a two-day retreat to chart their path toward building more powerful organizations in their home countries. The delegation also visited COFOA communities to hear firsthand how faith is inspiring action on the ground. Motivated by these stories, leaders in Guadalajara launched a listening campaign in two parishes and began research into issues of irregular water supply and increasing contamination.
