COFOA leaders gather to reflect on their work in 2019
El Salvador: More than 140 COFOA leaders gather to reflect on their work in 2019. Fr. Jusinto Goriano called people together with a biblical reflection on the multiplication of the loaves and fishes (Mt 15: 29-39). Representatives from 13 communities in three Departments shared the work they had done in the past year. Major issues included the fight so thousands of families can have access to clean water, the fight for land reform so hundreds of families could gain legal title to their homes, and the fight for investment in public improvements like roads and bridges. At a personal level, leaders highlighted the skills and courage they have gained to stand up for their families and communities. Leaders shared food to end their gathering, pledging to continue their efforts into 2020.
