Fall Update from Haiti: Improving roads; starting a sorghum coop
The Ministry of Public Works contracted with OPODNE to repair the road from Mombin Crochu Grand Savanne because of its reputation for integrity. Eleven crews of men and women not only completed the project on time, they did extra work! This is the second major project in Mombin Crochu. Thanks to a generous donation from Baxter and Lorie Rice, leaders have the matching funds needed to launch a sorghum cooperative in partnership with the World Bank. These projects create significant income for people in Mombin Crochu.
