Nyange leaders are constructing storage shelter for roofing tile enterprise
Nyange leaders have begun construction of a shelter to house their roofing tile equipment and the tiles they are producing. After negotiating with government officials to secure land and timber to construct the shelter, leaders are working in partnership with an engineer from SKAT, a Swedish NGO, to make sure the shed will last. They expect to complete the structure before the end of the year and begin construction of a kiln that will enable them to start their roofing tile business. They are following the PICO model to involve community in every decision and all phases of labor, which continues to build the confidence and skills of this community.
