OPODNE leaders fight for change
Haiti: To overcome severe drought and corrupt political systems, OPODNE leaders have rededicated themselves to securing land, building irrigation systems and demonstrating to people and politicians alike what cooperative, productive, transparent governance looks like. OPODNE leaders In Capotille manage their new banana cooperative; in Mont Organise, an expanded pepper cooperative; in Caracol, restart their vegetable cooperative; in Terrier Rouge, their profitable household goods wholesale cooperative; in Grand Bassin, their chicken cooperative and; in Mombin Crochu, variety of small businesses. Each agricultural enterprise could expand and generate reliable profit if funds can be raised to construct irrigation systems.
