There is Still Space to Join Us on a PICO Central America Site Visit This Summer
We have an exciting agenda for this trip, including time with PICO Central America staff and leaders in both El Salvador and Guatemala, as well as some R&R/sightseeing time! You will have a chance to hear from leaders about their progress in getting access to health care, increased safety and reduced crime, better roads and clean water, new programs and activities for youth, and economic development. Interpretation will be provided for non-Spanish-speaking participants.
Our goal is to expand relationships and share learning between US PICO leaders and staff with PICO federations in Central America. The trip is planned for July 2012, with 12 days in Central America and two travel days. We are looking at mid-July to early August as the time frame for the trip. We need a minimum of eight people, and the maximum number we can take is 15. The cost will be approximately $800 that covers no-frills lodging, food, bottled water and ground transportation, plus airfare.
