El Socorro Leaders Celebrate Bridge Construction: Safe Passage For 600 Students

After months of work, COFOA leaders have gotten the funding for a much needed bridge. COFOA leaders from Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Socorro secured a commitment from Mayor Francisco Salvador Hirezi and the municipal council for funding to construct the new bridge, providing safe passage during the rainy season for nearly 600 children who attend local schools. The ceremony celebrating this victory included laying the cornerstone by the mayor and prayers of thanksgiving from Bishop Bolaños and Our Lady of Perpetual Help’s pastor.
