Matimba School Is Competed: Kindergarten and Elementary Classes Are in Session
After two years of work, the Matimba School is finally completed and 300 kindergarten and elementary students are in class. As with projects across the country organized by PICO-Rwanda, community leaders organized their own money and labor to leverage commitment from and government and complete the school – the highest priority identified by hundreds of families in Matimba. With the leadership of Lutheran Pastor George Twesigne and with support of Lutheran Parishes in California, leaders know what it means to put faith into action. Pastor George calls on parents and community to “support one another to bring up great children.”
