Meet the Youth Organizers in El Salvador

Alexis Lozano and Gabriel “Gabo” Salazar grew up in the La Paz Department. Guided by their faith and determination to make life better for other young people of El Salvador, they enthusiastically participated in the “I AM A LEADER” Seminar organized by COFOA to provide sixty young people training in community organizing. In January, Alex and Gabo joined the COFOA staff and are building youth organizing committees in the eight Catholic Parishes in the La Paz Department. The youth voices demanding respect, safety and employment are loud and clear. Stay tuned for action.
