PICO Rwanda leaders are shaping their economic and political future

“PICO helped me to open my mind and create a vision for myself and see what the future holds for me, and how to make that vision sustainable rather than just focusing on the present. It opened up my thoughts and mind so I could plan for what’s ahead of me.” – Specioza

Leaders in Mumeya and Nyange are busy planning their future, both politically and economically. And their plans are ambitious. With the support of Student Fellows Emily Fagundes and Nick Fazio from Santa Clara University’s Miller Center, leaders have been meeting weekly to develop business plans for cooperatives that will provide sustainable income for their families and communities.
